Family is at the heart of everything we do. We utilize Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies to provide autism services that are practical, compassionate, and tailored to your child’s needs. Our goal is to equip families with the tools and confidence to support their child—always delivered with kindness, respect, and care. We focus on evidence-based therapy personalized for your child and your family.
Our team creates individualized programs that enhance communication, independence, emotional well-being, and joyful learning—always in partnership with your family.
Because every child deserves a plan as unique as they are.

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that uses the science of learning and behaviour to help individuals develop meaningful skills and increase independence. ABA programs are individualized to each learner and may target communication, social skills, daily living, play, learning, and behaviour regulation.
Verbal Behaviour (VB) is an evidence-based approach that focuses on helping clients develop meaningful and functional communication skills. At GAIN, we use the principles of Verbal Behaviour to teach clients not only how to communicate, but why we communicate—such as requesting what they need, expressing themselves, answering questions, and engaging with others. Teaching is individualized to each client’s communication level and designed to build skills that can be used naturally across everyday environments.
Discrete Trial Training (DTT) is a structured teaching approach that breaks skills into smaller, manageable steps. Skills are taught through individualized practice, prompting, and positive reinforcement, allowing learners to build confidence and mastery at their own pace.
Natural Environment Teaching (NET) focuses on teaching and practicing skills within everyday activities, routines, and environments. By following the learner’s interests and using naturally occurring opportunities, skills can be developed in meaningful contexts and generalized across people, settings, and situations.
Play-based therapy incorporates a learner’s interests and preferred activities into teaching opportunities. Through play, therapists can naturally support the development of communication, social interaction, problem-solving, flexibility, and other important skills while keeping learning engaging and motivating.

We believe meaningful progress extends beyond the clinic. Our team works alongside parents and caregivers through in-clinic training, home visits, resources, and ongoing meetings. We provide families with practical strategies and support they can confidently use in everyday life, helping skills learned at GAIN carry over into the home and community.

Learning alongside peers is an important part of development. GAIN offers a variety of group opportunities designed to strengthen social communication, cooperation, flexibility, turn-taking, group participation, and other essential social skills. These experiences allow clients to practice what they have learned in a fun, supportive, and natural environment.

Navigating the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) can feel overwhelming, and families don’t have to do it alone. At GAIN, we are available to help families understand and navigate the OAP process, including funding, documentation, and next steps. Our RBAs help families prepare for Determination of Needs (DON) meetings and can attend meetings alongside families to provide clinical insight and support. From paperwork and documentation to budget tracking and invoice submission (we can submit OAP invoices for you), we simplify the administrative side so you can focus on your child’s progress.

We believe collaboration creates stronger outcomes. Our team works closely with the people and environments that are part of each client’s life, including schools, educators, community organizations, and other professionals. When appropriate, we can visit community settings and collaborate with support teams to help promote consistency and success across environments.

We believe families should always feel informed and involved in their child’s care. Our Registered Behaviour Analysts provide individualized monthly progress updates and regularly review and update Behaviour Support Plans every 6–12 months. Through consistent communication and collaboration, we ensure families understand their child’s progress, celebrate successes, and remain an active part of their ongoing care.
